## Scope and Activities of the Project
A total of 118 students aged between 9 and 17 participated
in the project from Türkiye, Romania, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and
Portugal. Among the participants were 13 primary school students, 54 middle
school students, 51 high school students, and 6 students with special
educational needs.
Throughout the six-month project period, students
collaborated with peers from different countries and experienced intercultural
learning.
The project was designed to raise awareness about the
growing issue of digital screen addiction. Within this framework, students
researched, played, and revived traditional street games. The history, rules,
materials, and cultural characteristics of children's games from different
countries were explored, resulting in the creation of a collaborative
"Digital Street Games Book."
Students introduced these games to their project partners
through promotional videos and encouraged their peers and local communities to
play them, thereby contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage.
In the second phase of the project, students learned the
games introduced by partner countries and taught them to their classmates and
friends. This provided an opportunity not only to promote their own cultures
but also to gain a deeper understanding of other cultures. Photos and videos
produced during these activities became valuable project outputs.
## Achievements and Results
During the international online meetings organized
throughout the project, students had the opportunity to improve their English
communication skills, deliver presentations, work collaboratively in teams, and
interact with peers from different cultural backgrounds. These experiences made
significant contributions to their social, cultural, and academic development.
Various surveys were conducted to evaluate the impact of the
project. The results showed that students' awareness of traditional games
increased, they developed more positive attitudes toward reducing screen time,
and they gained a better understanding of the importance of preserving cultural
heritage.
All project activities and outputs were disseminated through
school notice boards, classroom activities, school websites, social media
accounts, the project blog, and eTwinning platforms. As a result, the project
reached not only the partner schools but also parents, teachers, local media,
and wider communities.
The "Would You Like to Play With Me?" project
successfully achieved its objectives as an exemplary educational initiative
that enhanced students' social communication skills, increased participation in
physical activities, contributed to the preservation of cultural heritage, and
strengthened international cooperation.
Based on the successful outcomes of the project and the
strong international partnerships established, it is planned to continue the
initiative next year as an Erasmus+ project involving partners from Türkiye,
Romania, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Portugal. Through this
continuation, it is aimed to further strengthen international cooperation among
students and teachers, increase cultural interaction, and disseminate project
outcomes to a wider audience.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all
teachers, students, parents, and project partners who contributed to the
project. We hope that the achievements and experiences gained through this
project will inspire many new international projects in the future.
